With the rapid growth of new investors during the Covid-19 epidemic, it has become more apparent that there are tons of investment-related channels being generated every day. Instead of fulfilling user demands, it turned out to be a pain, and difficult to find a reliable platform that matches their exact needs. Therefore, Investdy seizes the opportunity to create a helpful product and to become a problem solver.

Investdy is a kind of social Livestream platform where investors could meet the most suitable Professional investor easily and accurately. I have become involved as the sole designer of this exciting project.

According to the initial research, we found that the total number of investor accounts in Thailand reach 2,100,000+ in 2020. Moreover, the number of new investors has dramatically increased more than twice in the past year. It appears that users tend to choose the online platform to search for investment information more than the offline channels.

What is happening now?
For professional investors...
👉🏿 Costly to operate all the channels and ads. Most of those channels may not be effective as the platform policy changes frequently.
👉🏿 General platforms are not made for investment content. Thus they may or may not reach the target audiences.

For new investors...
👉🏿 There is no standard tool to identify the liability of the investment information provider.
👉🏿 The complexity and variety of investment tools might be difficult for new investors to understand.

From these findings, we defined key business goals as:

👉🏿 To be the all-in-one investment lives stream platform that combines Investment and Entertainment.
👉🏿 Professional investors (PI) can send their investment content directly to the target for both public and private users.
👉🏿 Creating a standard measurement that can measure the reliability of given investment information and tactics.
👉🏿 Saving time and cost for all.

I drafted user flow based on the research, in order to illustrate a path that users may take to reach their goal while using Investdy application. Then I quickly did some mockups of the basic user journey before going over it with the desired styling by using the collage technique.

For the design decision, I opted for reliable dark, refreshing light shades of blue to set as primary and secondary colors, light gray shades to represent simplicity through the UI style guide.
