BACKGROUND OBJECTIVE
BKKMENU is a part of the curated lifestyle media and production company, based in Bangkok, Thailand. It engages in daily lifestyle suggestions and activities through social media content and their own website. Currently, they aim to create a mobile application connecting services and promotions from all of the lifestyle stores in Thailand gathered in one app to make it more convenient for their followers. This mobile application includes point redemption, promotions, lifestyle content, activities, and much more.

We kicked off our project by aligning the goals and process with partnership and conducted stakeholder interviews to validate and further refine the project approach, goals, and objectives. We evaluated competitor and international websites to gain insight and common practices. With all information we had gathered, we consolidated research, insights, goals, and expectations for the future success of the application.


DESIGN DECISION
We chose to use BKKMENU brand identity as a design guide, with a personality of modernism, extrovert, up to date, and fashionable. We focusd on using a huge white space without bringing a variety of color into the design to order to give the space showing the content and visual storytelling of the brand/store to be as efficient as possible.



Basically, from then till now users follow us from various channels in social media. Therefore, to make it as easy and convinient as possible, we choose the login method with social media as the main channel.



In-app content is divided into 4 parts consisting of

👉🏿 EAT: for general to fine-dining restaurants, cafes, and bars
👉🏿 GO:  for hotel, traveling, highlight or interested destination
👉🏿 PLAY: for lifestyle activities, recipes for recreation, and knowledge
👉🏿 SHOP: fashion, items, shopping, home living.

These contents lead to a search solution that is divided according to the type of content and what users are looking for.



Increasing user engagement by providing various kinds of benefits with a redeeming system to get promotions, discounts coupons, or receive special privileges only for app users.
